The Foster Research Group

The Foster research group undertakes research in medicinal chemistry, synthetic chemistry and chemical biology. The underlying focus of our research is small molecule drug discovery. We are interested in the synthesis and development of small molecules as therapeutics as well as the design of chemical probes to support validation of novel biological targets in areas of unmet medical need.

Our group is based in the School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds.

The group is funded by the Wellcome Trust, MRC, BHF, EPSRC, BBSRC, CRUK and the EU.

Please browse our research pages to find out more about what we do.

PhD positions are also available for October 2022 entry. Please see the Opportunities page for further details.
